Former OUTSPOKEN Members Launch New Project
November 24, 2004Former members of the Lava/Atlantic "post-grunge alternative metal" recording artists OUTSPOKEN — Shaun Kennedy (guitar),Kevin McCreery (guitar),Donnie Highland (drums) and Frank Green (bass) — have teamed up with singer Geo Teubl (ex-BRIDGE) in an as-yet-unnamed new band.
Teubl and the rest of the band met while on tour with OUTSPOKEN supporting their record "Bitter Shovel", which was released in February 2003. Personal problems between the members of OUTSPOKEN and their singer created a rift in the group's ranks and culminated in the band splitting up after their last show on Christmas 2003. Since the breakup, McCreery has toured with TANTRIC as a second guitarist and has recently taped a series of guitar instructional videos for Rock House Method. As well as being a Peavey endorser, Teubl was frontman for the Detroit-based band BRIDGE for three years. The band released a CD, entitled "Blown Away", and toured nationwide before disbanding.
